Protein Cookie Dough Ice Cream

Are you ready to indulge in a guilt-free treat that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also nourishes your body? Look no further than Propello Life's Protein Cookie Dough Ice Cream that is high in protein and non-diary! Today, we're diving into the world of homemade protein ice cream using our very own Vegan Protein and Simply Natural Bars.

For this recipe we chose to make our non-dairy ice cream with our spiced vanilla plant-based protein and chocolate chip protein bar, but you can make yours with our chocolate flavor. We even provide a less healthy and more indulgent ice cream recipe we created a while back. All these homemade protein ice cream recipes only take a few ingredients you already have in your home and a few minute of preparation time.

What You'll Need:

To get started, gather the following ingredients:

  • 1 scoop of Propello Life's Vegan Protein in Spiced Vanilla (Add to Cart Now)
  • 2 frozen banana (chopped into small slices)
  • 1/4 cup of non-dairy milk (we used almond milk)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 bar Simply Natural Bar Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter (Add to Cart Now)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon of nut butter (you can use peanut butter, almond butter, etc...) for some added creaminess and fat.

  1. In a blender or food processer, combine the frozen banana, non-dairy milk, nut butter (if using), vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Add in the 1 scoop of Propello Life's Vegan Protein Spiced Vanilla.
  3. Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  4. Chop up the Simply Natural Bar into small bite size pieces similar to what you would see as a cookie dough bite in ice cream.
  5. Pour the mixture into a container and freeze for at least 2 hours (double check to make sure it is fully frozen; we pulled our out too quickly and got more of pudding type consistency).
  6. You can either add in the protein bar chunks to the mixture, stir in, and freeze, or you can add to the already frozen ice cream as a topping.
  7. Once frozen, scoop out your protein ice cream and enjoy!
