GENERAL HEALTH QUESTIONS
Will your products help me loose fat?
Propello Life products were formulated to fit into your healthy, whole food diet. Loosing fat (or weight, or gaining lean muscle) is a complex process and is unique for each person. We cannot guarantee weight loss by taking our products alone. To lose fat, you will want to build a healthy eating plan, exercise 3-4 times per week, get enough sleep, drink enough water, manage your stress, and supplement where necessary. Propello Life offers a simple, clean line of products to fit seamlessly into this plan. All of our products were formulated to boost your workout, protect your muscles (reduce muscle wasting), and/or aid in muscle recovery (protein synthesis). Your metabolism is driven by your lean mass (muscle), so having more muscle will increase your metabolism, and is a key driver in loosing fat. Ladies, having more muscle will not result in you becoming “bulky” or too muscular. Testosterone drives the process of getting “big” strong muscles, and women just don’t have naturally high enough levels to “get big.” If you follow the right plan you will get lean and toned. We can help you design strategies that can be used to achieve your goals. We also recommend you speak to a trusted personal trainer, certified nutritionist, and also reach out to our knowledgeable brand ambassadors. Good luck!
Are your products safe to take during pregnancy and/or nursing?
Propello Life products are non-GMO, free of artificial ingredients, simple, and clean. We have chosen the highest quality and most trusted ingredients and have strict policies to test and ensure our products are safe. Each person has unique dietary requirements, and food sensitivities. These dietary restrictions can be even more strict during pregnancy and nursing. Please consult your doctor or nutritionist about any concerns regarding supplementing during pregnancy and nursing.
Are Propello Life products safe for kids?
Propello Life products are non-GMO, free of artificial ingredients, simple, and clean. We have chosen the highest quality and most trusted ingredients and have strict policies to test and ensure our products are safe. The founders Duke & Todd both choose to allow their kids to consume the Vegan & Whey Proteins, and Rejuvenating Aminos, but they dose it down (¼ scoop or ½ scoop depending on the age and weight of their kids). They do not let their kids consume the Pre-Workout (kids have enough energy already!). Please use common sense or ask your doctor or nutritionist if you have specific questions.
I am having trouble gaining muscle and weight, what can I do?
If you are having trouble gaining muscle and weight, then please take a moment to look at your exercise and recovery. For your exercise, please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and/or speak to a trusted personal trainer. To improve your recovery, the two most important things you need to improve is your diet and sleep. Make sure you are getting 8 hours of restful sleep per night. To improve your diet is a bit more complex and will be related to the amount, quality, and timing of your food.
When should I eat around my training & exercise?
How you eat around your diet is tied to your unique dietary needs and your goals. For the best results towards your goals, it is a good idea to have a plan that incorporates whole foods and supplements before, during, and after your workouts. This will ensure you are feeding your body with the nutrients it needs to perform at its best. Please send us an email at email@example.com and speak to a trusted nutritionist. Your personal trainer may also be able to provide some guidance as well.
GENERAL PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Are your products meal replacements?
No. Meal replacement products endorse swapping a whole food meal for a shake or smoothie that provides protein, fat, carbs, and a vitamin & mineral blend. We believe in eating a whole food diet, but know that this is not always possible in our crazy, hectic lives. Also, the food we each may not be delivering everything we need in our diets, especially for active people who need more nutrients. That is why Propello Life offers Vegan Protein, Whey Protein, Rejuvenating Aminos, and Pre-Workout. We have provided a simple, clean, and premium line of supplements that are non-GMO and free of artificial ingredients to supplement your whole food diet. To create a delicious meal replacement shake using our products, please blend our proteins with whole fruits and/or vegetables. We believe this is a healthier and more wholesome way to create a meal replacement shake for those busy days and between meal cravings. We have some great options listed on our Recipe Page.
Do any of your products have proprietary blends?
No. Propello Life believes in full label transparency. All of our products fully disclose every ingredient on the product label.
Are all your products non-GMO?
Yes! And free of artificial ingredients. Our Vegan Protein is 72% organic, our Whey Protein is from grass-fed cows that have never been treated with hormones or antibiotics, our Rejuvenating Aminos are vegan, and our Pre-Workout is a low stimulant formula that won’t give you jitters!
What is the difference between Whey Protein and Vegan Protein?
Whey Protein is a protein derived from cow’s milk. Our Vegan Protein is completely derived from plant based proteins, and does not contain any ingredients from animals.
What plant proteins are in the Vegan Protein?
The plant proteins in Vegan Protein are: Organic Pea Protein, Organic Hemp Protein, Organic Chia Protein, and Organic Sacha Inchi Protein.
Are there different types & qualities of whey protein?
There are different types, grades, and natural forms of whey protein. The analogy we like to use is the difference between Taco Bell meat and Kobe Beef Steak. Both are technically meat, but vary greatly in quality and how they are processed. There are Whey Protein Concentrates (WPC), Whey Protein Isolates (WPI), and Whey Protein Hydrolysate. Whey Protein Concentrates are the least processed form and leave the naturally occurring carbs and fats intact. Additionally, there are low heat (cold processed) minimally processed methods to create Whey Protein and there are high heat and acidic processing methods that are lower cost. The highest quality, cleanest, and minimally processed Whey Protein is used in Propello Life’s Whey Protein. We believe this is best for the consumer and delivers the best results!
REJUVENATING AMINO QUESTIONS
What are BCAA’s?
BCAA’s are Branch Chain Amino Acids and consist of three of the nine essential amino acids: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. These three amino acids are key in protecting muscles during exercise and in muscle recovery (protein synthesis) following exercise. They also have been shown to reduce that pesky muscle soreness everyone hates!
Is Rejuvenating Aminos vegan?
Yes – we have found a great source of plant based BCAA’s that also taste great!
What is Glutamine?
Glutamine is an amino acid. Amino acids are the building blocks of muscle. Studies have shown that L-Glutamine supplementation can minimize breakdown of muscle and improve protein metabolism. In layman’s terms, it has been shown to reduce muscle wasting and improves recovery following exercise.
When do I use Rejuvenating Aminos?
Rejuvenating Aminos are best mixed with water and sipped on during your workout or any time throughout the day following your workout. They are a refreshing addition to water and with the addition of electrolytes, they will help keep you hydrated and feeling your best.
Do the Rejuvenating Aminos contain caffeine?
You may feel a slight increase in energy from our Rejuvenating Aminos, but it is not from caffeine. The likely reason is the electrolytes and the glucogenic nature of L-Isoleucine and L-Valine. The Rejuvenating Aminos can be an effective way to even out your blood sugar levels, and prevent that 2pm slump!
When do I use Pre-Workout?
Pre-Workout is best used 30 minutes before your workout or sipped on as a pick-me-up. We personally use it in place of black coffee (it has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of strong coffee) since the caffeine in Pre-Workout comes from Robusta Coffee Beans; Plus it tastes great over ice! To get the full performance benefits of Pre-Workout (strength, endurance, etc…) Pre-Workout should be consumed daily.
What is Creatine Monohydrate?
Creatine is a substance found naturally in our muscles and brain, and is in the meat we eat. Creatine Monohydrate has been scientifically shown to increase muscle strength and size, enhance recovery, improve sprint performance, and enhance brain function. Creatine Monohydrate builds up in muscle tissue over time, so consuming Pre-Workout daily will get you the best result.
What forms of Creatine are there?
There are many forms of Creatine available, but Creatine Monohydrate is the form most studied, and, in our opinion, the safest to use to get the desired benefits. That is why we chose to use Creatine Monohydrate in our Pre-Workout.
What is Beta Alanine?
Beta Alanine is a non-essential amino acid, and has been scientifically shown to boost explosive muscular strength and power, increase muscle mass, boost muscular anaerobic endurance, increase aerobic endurance, and increase exercise capacity so you can train harder and longer. Beta Alanine builds up in muscle tissue over time, so consuming Pre-Workout daily will get you the best result. Also, you may feel a slight “tingle” on your skin when you consume Beta Alanine. This is a safe (non dangerous) side effect of Beta Alanine. We dosed it at 1.6 grams to minimize this feeling, but some sensitive to Beta Alanine will still get this feeling. If you do, try drinking Pre-Workout slower (over 45 minutes or longer) or try a half scoop.
What is Citrulline Malate 2:1?
Citrulline is an amino acid and malate is a molecule of malic acid. The form used in Pre-Workout is the 2:1 form – 2 citrulline molecules and 1 malic acid molecule. This is the form studied and shown to boost strength, endurance, and blood flow. That means a better workout and more nutrients and oxygen to your muscles.
What is Betaine?
Betaine is an amino acid scientifically shown to amplify the effects of creatine monohydrate, improve muscle protein synthesis, support healthy levels of homocysteine, and suggested to raise SAMe levels, which supports positive mood, liver health, and aids joint recovery.
What are the benefits of Caffeine for your workout?
Caffeine is shown to increase energy, focus, and pain threshold. Meaning, you can workout harder. However, too much caffeine can have both short term and long term effects. Short term you may feel “jittery” and it can constrict blood flow by causing your blood vessels to constrict (this is not what you want when you are exercising). Long term, too much caffeine can lead to adrenal fatigue. That is why Propello Life only provides 100 mg of natural caffeine from robusta coffee beans, which is just enough to give you the benefits.
Why is my Pre-Workout clumpy?
Some of the ingredients in Pre-Workout are heat and humidity sensitive. Additionally, Propello Life uses all-natural, clean ingredients so we don’t add any harsh chemicals to counteract this issue. To prevent and delay this issue, please close the lid completely after each use and store the product in a cool, dry place. If you do experience clumping, please use a fork or utensil to break up the clumps. If you have further questions or concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
