We are always looking for ways to sneak protein into our kids' diets. They are the kind of kids that have a ton of energy, are always running around, and you can barely get them to eat enough to keep weight on.
Super yummy shakes. Peanut butter chocolate shakes, frosty shakes, and this Vanilla Ice Cream Shake are great for a hot day or anytime they need to cool off and replenish.
If you are looking for a healthier version, just sub out the ice cream for a few more ice cubes and even the milk for the "milk" of your choice (we've been loving toasted almond/coconut milk lately).
I mean, anytime you add protein, it makes what you're eating "healthy"... right!?! ;)
Try our Healthy Vanilla Ice Cream Shake next time you want a cool, refreshing treat.
8 oz Organic Milk (or milk of choice)
2 scoops Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream (this is our fav but you could use any brand)
5 ice cubes
Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend.
