Dark Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Protein Cookies

Sometimes you just need a cookie!  We don’t usually do much sugar, but this recipe doesn’t use as much sugar as a normal cookie, it’s gluten-free, is SO tasty, and uses our grass-fed Whey Protein!  Because life is all about balance, right?!?

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 c. oats
  • 1/4 c. Propello Life Vanilla Bean Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 t. baking soda 
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 6 T. butter, softened 
  • 1 t. Vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4-1/2 c. dark chocolate chips 

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°.  Put 1 c. oats in food processor and blend.  Add the other oats, protein powder, salt, and baking soda and combine slightly.  In a mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar, add vanilla and egg and mix until smooth.  Add dry ingredients and then dark chocolate chips.  Use a cookie scoop to put dough on parchment paper and press down slightly, then bake for 10-11 min (check to make sure they aren’t getting too brown).  

Makes about 20 cookies.

Low-Carb Banana Bread Recipe

Here are the details:

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3 Ripe Bananas, Peeled
  2. 1 Cup of Unbleached Flour
  3. ½ Cup Propello Life Vegan Spiced Vanilla Protein Powder
  4. ⅓ Cup of Melted Coconut Butter/Spread
  5. 1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
  6. Pinch of Salt
  7. ¾ Cup of Truvia Baking Blend Sugar
  8. 1 Large Egg, Beaten
  9. 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  10. Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Mini Chips (Optional) (Dairy, Nut & Soy Free)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 5x9-inch loaf pan
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripened bananas. Once mashed, mix in the melted coconut butter/spread.
  3. Add baking soda and salt.
  4. Add in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add flour and Propello Life Vegan Spiced Vanilla Protein Powder.
  6. Add Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Mini Chips (Optional)
  7. Pour batter into your 5x9-inch loaf pan. (Optional: Drizzle Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Mini Chips on top!)
  8. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  10. Slice away and ENJOY!

Vegan Banana, Nuts & Seeds Smoothie Bowl

INGREDIENTS

  • 8-12 oz ripple pea milk (or beverage of your choice)
    • adjust oz to desired thickness
  • 1 scoop Propello Life Vegan Spiced Vanilla
  • 4 ice cubes
  • Base: 1/2  frozen banana for white base (use whole banana if desired)
    • or 4 frozen strawberries for red base
    • or handful of spinach/kale for green base
  • Drop of vanilla extract (optional)
  • Top with fruits, seeds, nuts, etc...
    • Pictured toppings: banana slices, homemade granola (with sunflower seeds, pepita seeds, dried papaya), hemp seeds, slivered almonds, and scoop of almond butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend beverage, Propello Life protein, Base, and vanilla extract in blender.
  2. Pour into bowl and top with your desired toppings
  3. Enjoy!!!

 

FEEL BETTER JUICE

 (IMMUNITY & ANTI-INFLAMMATORY JUICE)

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 Carrots
  • 1/2 Pineapple
  • 2 Lemons (peeled)
  • 1 knob (or more) Ginger (peeled)
  • 1/4 t. Turmeric

DIRECTIONS

  1. Juice all ingredients and serve!!!

 

BUTTERMILK PROTEIN WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c. Buckwheat Flour (or organic Wholewheat Flour)
  • 1 t. Baking Soda
  • 1 t. Baking Powder
  • 2 scoops Propello Life Vanilla Bean Whey Protein Powder (or Spiced Vanilla Vegan Protein)
  • 2 T. honey or maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. water (or Milk)
  • 2 T. melted Coconut Oil (or Butter)
  • Add more Water (or Milk) to thin batter to desired consistancy

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all powder ingredients in mixing bowl. Add in wet ingredients and blend well.
  2. Make in your favorite waffle iron, add favorite toppings and eat them up!!

 

BUCKEYE BITES

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ½ c. old fashioned oats
  • ½ c. peanut butter
  • 2 scoops Propello Life Vanilla Bean Protein Powder
  • 3 T. honey
  • 1 t. vanilla 
  • Splash of coconut milk
  • 1 bag dark chocolate chip
  • 1 t. coconut oil

DIRECTIONS

In a food processor or blender, blend all ingredients (except chocolate and coconut oil) until it sticks together. Roll into ¾ inch balls and place on parchment paper. While rolling the balls, create a double boiler to melt the chocolate (place a small pot with water on the stove, with a glass bowl on top). As the chocolate starts to melt, stir. Once completely melted, use a toothpick to dip the ball mostly into the chocolate leaving a small area uncovered to resemble our beloved buckeye nut. Place back on parchment paper to harden. You can also place the Buckeye Bites in the refrigerator to harden quicker.

SPINACH BANANA PROTEIN MUFFINS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 t. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. fresh spinach
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/3 c. maple syrup
  • 2 T. coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 scoops Propello Life Spiced Vanilla Vegan Protein Powder
  • Splash coconut milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
  3. Blend wet ingredients, including spinach
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix (add more coconut milk if mixture isn't wet enough)
  5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 way full and bake for 15-17 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean)
  6. Serve to whole family and enjoy! Kids love them!

 

CHOCOLATE ALMOND CHIA + OAT SHAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop Propello Life Vegan Dirty Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1/2 c. old fashioned oats
  • 1 T. almond butter
  • 1 T. chia seed
  • 8-10 oz. cold coconut milk, almond milk, or water
  • Ice (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients to blender, with ice first
  2. Blend on high until desired consistency
  3. Enjoy!

 

SPINACH BLUEBERRY PINEAPPLE SHAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop Propello Life Vanilla Bean Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 c. fresh spinach
  • 1 T. fresh ginger, pealed
  • Handful of blueberries
  • 5 chunks of pineapple (frozen is best)
  • 1 T. chia seed
  • 8-10 oz. cold coconut milk, almond milk, or water
  • Ice (optional; and if not using frozen pineapple)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients to blender
  2. Blend on high until desired consistency
  3. Enjoy!

 

MOCHA POWER SHAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 oz. cold coffee
  • 6 oz. coconut milk or almond milk
  • 1 scoop Propello Life Spiced Vanilla Vegan Protein Powder (or Vanilla Bean Whey Protein)
  • 1/2 frozen ripe banana
  • 1 T. peanut butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients to blender
  2. Blend on high until desired consistency
  3. Enjoy!

 

ON-THE-GO POWER SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop Propello Life Spiced Vanilla Vegan Protein Powder
  • 1 c. fresh spinach
  • 5 chunks of pineapple (frozen is best)
  • 8-10 oz. cold coconut milk (can substitute almond milk)
